Neytiri

November 3, 2015
Today I had the pleasure of having a text session with Neytiri, a female cat. I connected Neytiri’s human’s mom, Loreen with a twenty minute text session. During a text session the animal's owner, the animal and I have a conversation via text. It is quick and effective and always get to the root of the concern for the pet owner.
This morning I had a volunteer for a past life regression session with Loreen. At the end of the session I mentioned to Loreen that I was an animal communicator. I handed her a business card and added I did text, e-mail and in person sessions. Loreen asked if I could talk to her daughter’s cat about why it’s pooping in the house. Sure thing was my quick answer. Loreen texted me later in the day and we set up an appointment time later that afternoon.
Neytiri, the cat came in loud and clear about thirty minutes before our session began. I felt the urge to put on Vance Joy’s song, Mess is Mine. After it played a few times I got it! Neytiri owned the mess she made. It kind of made me giggle because the song has a line like, “This mess is yours, this mess is mine.” The mess Neytiri was making belonged to all of them.
When we connected, minutes later, Neytiri had already been talking to me. Wait till I sit down I told her. While I can multi-task I do like to keep to the appointment time. This way I can devote the entire twenty minute session to only you I told her.
I began a minute or two early with a quick meditation to connect. I felt Neytiri’s energy settle right in my lap as I sat cross-legged. My lap warmed and I texted to the cat’s owner’s mom an opener, “She is scared about what you had to say because she knows that she’s been bad.”
Neytiri began to explain why she pooped on the mat. She wanted to poop outside in the garden. She liked to scratch in the dirt after she did her business. Felt good she added. Then Neytiri said that her plan backfired. She wanted to show her people that she wanted to poop outside by pooping outside of the litter box. That plan did not work because her humans could not understand why she was doing that. Instead of understanding that she preferred to poop outside, her humans became frustrated and confused. Loreen asked if she could let Neytiri out on her own. Neytiri replied no. She didn’t trust that she would not roam. She would most likely leave the yard. She added that she could not be trusted. She didn’t think that she would stay home if she were let out without limits or boundaries.
So what is the solution Loreen asked? Leash and a harness Neytiri responded. Neytiri said that because she couldn’t trust herself to stay home when she was outside, a leash would keep her safe and at home. Neytiri added that if she was loose wandering around (she said she liked to roam around) then someone would see her and want to rescue her thinking she might be a stray or lost. She explained that if someone sees her she knows that they will want her. Loreen added that Neytiri is beautiful. Neytiri knew it and so did her human family.
Loreen then asked if Neytiri had any complaints. Didn’t like her food Neytiri answered. But she’ll eat it. Then Neytiri laughed. Loreen asked what kind of food Neytiri liked. Less fish and more variety. Neytiri added that she would like it if her food was different each day. This cat is truly a queen and runs her house. A food request! I love it.
Near the end of the session Neytiri communicated that she felt better. She had limits, she was able to poop in the garden and she got to speak about her food preferences.
At the end of the session, in my mind’s eye, I saw Neytiri stretch and yawn, then left my lap. Our session was over. Neytiri won again! And hopefully because she was able to talk to her humans, she would no longer need to poop on the mat.
