Horse Camp

August 21, 2014
Two days ago I was at Mcnaughton’s Funny Farm just east of Whitecourt, AB, reading horses for a girls’ horse camp. This event was exactly what I had asked the Universe for. I really enjoy reading horses for my clients but wanted a bit more. A horse camp or clinic was what I wanted to add to my business and exactly one week after I’d meditated on that, I received a phone call inquiring if I did horse camps. Yes!
When I arrived they were just finishing up with their lunch. I introduced myself and we headed over to where the horses were. I began the session with a short introduction about myself, and how I ended up doing what I do. I added a very short meditation session and instruction on how to listen to horses. Basically you begin with a meditation and focus on opening up your third eye to see what’s in there. After this short session I shared what I saw. All I saw in my third eye was green grass! Obviously I was getting a visual on what someone wanted. Someone must be a horse!
After our short meditation session, I said that I would do a reading on one horse with the group present. After that I would do individual sessions with horses and riders. The group reading ended up being with a Canadian, my favorite as you may know if you know me, or if you read my blog. This Canadian was a larger one. Well built and very formidable. We were joined by a herd of goats who were in a pasture beside the Canadian’s pen. The goats said, “We’re the audience.” The Canadian gelding told us not to be misled by his size. He added that they, the owners should honor the Canadian breed through him. I went into an explanation briefly about the breed because I do know my Canadians! He went on to say that even though he is large, he is willing and they should not be afraid to use him. He was truly magnificent this Canadian. I loved his look. He reminded me of my Canadian, Hobo.
After the Canadian session, I went on to read two horses for ladies who were not part of the camp, but heard that I was going to read horses and brought their geldings for a session. I enjoyed the sessions with both horses; one was a well-bred quarter horse that was very energetic, the other a thin thoroughbred with a heart of gold who offered the information that the young lady who rode him rode like a sack of potatoes. Those were his words, not mine and as he told me this, I saw in my third eye a sack of bouncing potatoes in a burlap sack on his back. Funny guy!
After this I turned to the group of girls. Quite a few of them had heard the same information I got from their horses but didn’t quite trust what they heard or felt. It’s real and it is accurate I explained. These young ladies were well on their way to being horse listeners. Each horse had messages for its rider. I had an amazing time with them and cannot wait to do it again. It was a long day that left me exhilarated. As I lay down to sleep that night I had a hard time putting my mind to rest, the day was that phenomenal!
Oh and by the way, the geldings informed us that they did not like wearing pink!
